More than 11,000 athletes participate in Hanoi's iconic race - VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2025

The VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2025 officially returns on October 24 - 26, 2025 with a series of events focusing on music, sports, and cultural experiences. More than 11,000 athletes will experience running in the autumn weather of Hanoi, on an iconic route with the starting and finishing points located right in the heart of the city.

VPBank organizes VPBank Hanoi International Marathon for the 6th consecutive year.

VPBank Hanoi International Marathon has been recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as the official annual international sporting event of the capital. This year's race is the 6th organized by VPBank, gathering more than 11,000 athletes, including many international runners from 25 countries and territories, making Hanoi one of the prominent marathon destinations in the region.

Athletes will compete in four distances: 42km - 21km - 10km - 5km, certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). Real-time timing systems, water stations, medical , logistics and service teams are scientifically arranged, ensuring safety and providing an experience equivalent to the top marathons on the continent.

In particular, in order to bring the best experience to athletes, VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2025 applies the most advanced technologies on the market in its operations, including real-time tracking and recording of achievements (real-time Timing/Results), along with an automatic photo capture system that recognizes athletes' faces and BIB codes. All results and personal images are synchronized online, helping runners easily look up, save and share memorable moments in their journey.

Runners will run through Hanoi's iconic landmarks.

This year's running route fully recreates the beauty and rhythm of Hanoi - ancient, peaceful and full of life. Athletes will start from the Hoan Kiem Lake area, passing through mossy street corners, admiring famous landmarks such as West Lake, Quan Chuong Gate, Hanoi Flag Tower, before reaching the modern symbolic works of a Hanoi that is growing strongly.

The Full Marathon route (42km) "checks in" the 4 most typical lakes of the Capital: Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Truc Bach Lake and Thien Quang Lake; 3 symbolic bridges: Long Bien Bridge, Nhat Tan Bridge, Dong Tru Bridge; and also passes through President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, bringing a unique experience and the breath of Hanoi to each runner.
