The hospital's Board of Directors has identified six core strategic pillars to shape the future of the unit and contribute to shaping the future of the country's medicine, including: Digital transformation; Multi-organ transplantation; Robotic surgery; Stem cells; Gene therapy; Application of 3D printing in medicine . These six strategic pillars are clearly defined, aiming at the important goal of taking the patient as the center and optimizing treatment results.
The official announcement of the paperless, fully-authenticated, digitally signed Bach Mai Care APP and smart hospital and school management system via VneID is not only an administrative convenience but also a key premise, creating a safe and legal electronic identification and authentication mechanism for all medical records. This is a strategic step towards the implementation of national Electronic Health Records.

The implementation of the Paperless Management System brings dual benefits, helping to improve patient experience and service quality, realizing the commitment to "putting patients at the center"; at the same time bringing administrative and economic efficiency. The conversion from paper medical records to electronic medical records alone has helped Bach Mai Hospital save an estimated 100 billion VND per year.
Bach Mai Hospital announced the comprehensive smart management system as a strategic step to lay the foundation towards international standards, building a comprehensive culture and management in the digital age.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan emphasized that in recent times, the Politburo has issued many important resolutions, especially Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health. These two resolutions are the strategic guidelines for the health sector to transform strongly in the new period.

To be worthy of the tradition and trust of the Party, State and people, the head of the health sector requested Bach Mai Hospital to focus on 5 key tasks, while concretizing the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Resolution 72-NQ/TW.
Accordingly, the hospital needs to affirm its position as the leading national medical center, continue to deploy modern techniques on par with the region and the world; and be a leader in expertise, research, and application of medical advances.
The hospital continues to promote in-depth research and comprehensive digital transformation, from administration to clinical; building a "smart hospital" model in accordance with the spirit of Bach Mai Hospital also receiving the Government's Emulation Flag.
On the other hand, focus on training high-quality medical human resources, both professionally skilled and ethical, ready for international integration; implementing according to the direction of Resolution 72-NQ/TW on "building a team of medical staff with sufficient quantity, quality, professional qualifications, digital capacity and political courage."
Strengthen professional support and technology transfer to lower levels so that people in all regions of the country can access high-quality medical services, in line with the spirit of strengthening grassroots health care, reducing regional disparities, and improving preventive medicine capacity and primary health care.
The hospital urgently put Facility 2 in Ninh Binh into effective operation, integrating the "smart hospital" model from the beginning; a pilot model to replicate nationwide.

At the ceremony, Bach Mai Hospital also received the Government's Emulation Flag and the Ministry of Health's Certificate of Merit; opening the 2025-2026 school year of Bach Mai Medical College.
