Phuong Chau International Hospital receives JCI gold seal of quality

Phuong Chau International Hospital (Can Tho City) has just received the JCI gold quality seal, honored by a non-profit organization in the US.

On November 11, Phuong Chau International Hospital (belonging to Phuong Chau Medical Group) held a ceremony to receive the JCI gold quality seal.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ho, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Phuong Chau Medical Group, said that JCI is the abbreviation of Joint Commission International, a non-profit organization headquartered in Chicago, Illinois (USA).

The JCI standards include 281 standards, 1,197 measurement elements, 162 policies and procedures with the goal of putting patients at the center, applying strict standards on safety and quality of high-performance healthcare services according to international standards, as well as safety standards on hospital infrastructure.

JCI's quality and safety criteria are drafted by leading American experts, focusing on maintaining the quality of outpatient and inpatient care and treatment at hospitals. The standards are researched, tested, applied and constantly updated to achieve the highest efficiency in patient care.

Phuong Chau International Hospital is located in the center of Can Tho City.

Phuong Chau International Hospital currently has more than 570 doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and staff. The JCI gold seal is an international certification of quality and safe medical care services, bringing many practical benefits to patients.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Doctor, People's Physician Luong Ngoc Khue, Vice Chairman of the National Medical Council, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ), highly appreciated the formation and outstanding development of Phuong Chau International Hospital over the past 11 years.

Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue said that Vietnam currently has about 1,400 hospitals (300 non-public hospitals). To date, Phuong Chau International Hospital is the 6th medical facility in the country to meet JCI quality standards.
