Huong Phung Border Guard Station brings Mid-Autumn Festival early to children

QTO - On the afternoon of October 1, Deputy Political Commissar of Huong Phung Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Bang said that to create a joyful atmosphere on the occasion of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the unit gave many gifts and organized "Border - Full Moon Festival" activities for children in the management area.

Accordingly, at the opening ceremony of the Lifelong Learning Response Week 2025 organized by the People's Committee of Huong Phung commune this morning, October 1, Huong Phung Border Guard Station awarded 3 cash scholarships worth 10 million VND to students in difficult circumstances sponsored by the unit.

On the same afternoon, the unit continued to give 200 gifts of candy, milk, and star lanterns to children of Huong Phung Kindergarten; 6 gifts worth 20 million VND to students with especially difficult circumstances in the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border guards" and children under the project "Military officers and soldiers help children go to school".

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Bang added that on this occasion, the unit will coordinate with philanthropists to organize the program "Border - Full Moon Festival Night" in Chenh Venh village, Huong Phung commune on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival to give gifts to all the children in the area with a total value of 70 million VND.

The activities not only bring the children a Mid-Autumn Festival full of love and meaning, but also encourage and motivate them to strive and overcome difficulties in their studies. This is a sentiment that shows the spirit of the "green uniform" soldier towards the people in the border area.
