Construction of 2 'great unity' houses started in An Thanh commune

On the morning of October 1, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Thanh commune started building two 'great solidarity' houses for near-poor households in the commune.

The two cases that received support for housing construction were the family of Mrs. Vu Thi Xoa in Thien Xuan village and the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Ninh in Bang Lai village. These two cases are near-poor households, in very difficult circumstances, with seriously degraded houses, at risk of collapsing during storms. Mrs. Vu Thi Xoa is old and has been bedridden for many years.

Each family will receive 100 million VND from the commune's "For the Poor" Fund and mobilize social resources to build houses. The two projects are expected to be completed by the end of November 2025.

This is a practical activity to welcome the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Thanh commune, term 2025 - 2030 and towards the National Great Unity Day (November 18).

An Thanh commune currently has 8,452 households with 28,785 people, of which 69 are poor households and 76 are near-poor households.
