Arrested for transporting nearly 60 kg of explosive fireworks

On January 15, information from the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Province Police said that this unit is temporarily detaining Pham Van Tiep (39 years old, residing in Gao Nam village, Ho Tung Mau commune, An Thi district, Hung Yen) to investigate the act of trading in prohibited goods.

Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, in Trai Thon village (Hong Quang commune, An Thi district), a working group of the Investigation Police Department of Hung Yen province caught Pham Van Tiep red-handed in the act of trading in prohibited goods.

The authorities seized two cardboard boxes containing 48 rectangular boxes covered with colorful paper printed in foreign languages ​​in the car with license plate 35A-091.31 driven by Tiep. The results of the examination determined that the rectangular boxes seized were fireworks, with a total mass of 58 kg.

Through investigation, Tiep confessed that he bought the above fireworks to resell to people who wanted to set off fireworks during the Lunar New Year 2024, in order to make a profit.
