Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee sends letter of condolence to Dien Bien and Son La provinces

On August 3, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation sent a letter of condolence to Dien Bien and Son La provinces affected by natural disasters. Hanoi decided to support Dien Bien and Son La provinces with 8 billion VND to overcome the consequences.

In recent days, prolonged heavy rains over a large area have caused flash floods and landslides in many communes, causing heavy losses in human life and property in Dien Bien and Son La provinces.

In a letter sent to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien and Son La provinces, comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, on behalf of the Party Committee, government, and people of Hanoi , sent her warm regards and deep condolences to all cadres, soldiers, and people of the two provinces, especially people in areas affected by storms and floods.

With the sentiment of "Mutual love and affection" and the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City sent 5 billion VND to the Relief Fund of Dien Bien province and 3 billion VND to the Relief Fund of Son La province to help overcome the consequences caused by storms and floods and share the difficulties of the Party Committees, authorities and people of the provinces.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai stated that the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee believe that with the attention of the Party and State; the sharing and contribution of provinces and cities across the country; and with the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and strong will to rise up, cadres, soldiers, and people of Dien Bien and Son La provinces will overcome difficulties, quickly overcome the consequences, and soon stabilize people's lives.
