Binh Dinh province leaders requested functional forces to increase patrols on the new National Highway 19 and coordinate to strictly handle vehicles that intentionally damage traffic infrastructure and load control systems.


On January 12, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that the province's leaders had just issued a document on adjusting the sign system and enhancing traffic safety on the new National Highway 19 passing through the area.

In particular, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province assigned the Provincial Police to direct the Traffic Police Department to regularly organize patrols, control, and handle violations on the new National Highway 19.

Strictly handle violations of speeding, stopping, and parking in violation of regulations, especially in complex traffic locations with potential traffic accidents.

In particular, coordinate to strictly handle vehicles that intentionally damage traffic infrastructure and the automatic vehicle load control system on the new National Highway 19.

In addition, for the automatic vehicle load inspection station area at Km 5+994.5 (left route) of the new National Highway 19, the Department of Transport of Binh Dinh province was assigned to adjust the P.127 "maximum speed allowed" sign to gradually decrease from 60km/h → 50km/h → 40km/h → 30km/h to P.127 "maximum speed allowed" 50km/h, combined with the addition of the S.504a "loaded vehicle" sign.

For the intersection area at Km 5+300/new National Highway 19 (Dai Phu Gia roundabout intersection), the maximum speed limit will be adjusted and added to 50km/h for trucks. The maximum speed limit will remain at 60km/h for other vehicles (including cars).

Binh Dinh Province Department of Transport will also add sign P.103b "no trucks turning right" in the area of ​​Km 6+120 (left route) and Km 6+400 (left route) on the new National Highway 19.

Review the current status of the traffic sign system on the entire new National Highway 19 to adjust and install additional traffic signs in accordance with current road sign standards. Dismantle and recall traffic signs that are no longer in compliance with regulations.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee also assigned Quy Nhon City People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to organize inspection, supplement and replace the lighting system at Dai Phu Gia traffic intersection and the section from Km 5+300 - Km 6+400 of the new National Highway 19 (both sides of the route from Dai Phu Gia roundabout to the new urban area of ​​Cho Goc area) to enhance lighting and ensure traffic safety.

The new National Highway 19 through Binh Dinh province stretches from Quy Nhon port to the intersection of National Highway 1 with a total investment of more than 4,400 billion VND. In early 2025, the automatic vehicle inspection station on this route will officially come into operation. This is the first automatic weighing station on the national highway through Binh Dinh province.
