The number of users reporting Facebook errors increased dramatically at 10:20 p.m. on March 5 (Screenshot).

At the press conference of the Ministry of Information and Communications on March 6, answering reporters' questions about whether Facebook's downfall would affect Vietnam, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security Tran Quang Hung said: " Facebook's downfall is also a good sign, not because Vietnam has a social network to share information, but more importantly, after the incident, users of this cross-border social network will be surprised to know whether they are victims of hackers or not.

At the same time, people are more conscious about changing their passwords; creating two-step security to prevent. Therefore, Facebook's network outage, from another perspective, brings positive value to Vietnamese users.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security warned that currently many users depend heavily on social networking platforms. If they do not have/do not use account security measures, most of them will lose their accounts.
