On October 20, the Department of Traditional Medicine Management issued a decision to compulsorily recall all batches of Coix seeds that do not meet quality standards, traded by the Traditional Medicine Clinic - Physician Luong Manh Tuan (address: Cho village, Xuan Van commune, Tuyen Quang province).
This batch of medicinal herbs has no batch number, no place of manufacture, expiry date or registration number, and its origin is unknown. Test results show that the product does not meet the "descriptive" and "qualitative" criteria according to the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia Standard V, violating quality level 1.

Business and medical establishments nationwide are required to stop trading and using the above mentioned batch of Coix, the remaining quantity at the establishment and return it to the supplier. Health authorities of provinces and centrally run cities are responsible for notifying, checking and making a list of units that have purchased the product for coordination in handling.
