The cheapest iPhone in Vietnam just increased in price

(Dan Tri) - iPhone 13 is currently the cheapest iPhone in the Vietnamese market. The device has been adjusted to increase in price by many systems compared to the beginning of the third quarter.

According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters , iPhone 13 is being offered by many dealers at a price of 12 million VND for the 128GB version. Notably, the above price has increased by 700,000 VND compared to the beginning of the third quarter.

The move to increase the selling price of older iPhone products is something that has rarely happened before. In fact, Apple "killed" the iPhone 13 product line from September 2024 right after the company announced the iPhone 16 generation.

However, the iPhone 13 is still sold at the company's official authorized dealers in Vietnam. Currently, users only have the option of 128GB storage, along with 2 color options: black and white.

Earlier in the second quarter, Apple stopped selling a series of products in the Vietnamese market, including the iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and iPhone 14 Plus. This also made the iPhone 13 the cheapest iPhone still officially sold by the company in the domestic market.

"When iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 officially stopped selling, iPhone 13 became the minimum and reasonable choice for customers looking for devices in the mid-high-end segment. Product sales also grew beyond expectations," said a representative of Minh Tuan Mobile system.

Apple's practice of keeping older devices in business is a familiar strategy that helps the company expand its product portfolio, thereby reaching a diverse range of customers.

As the cheapest iPhone on the market, the iPhone 13 will be tasked with attracting new users to join the Apple ecosystem.

"For young users who love the Apple brand, the iPhone 13 is still a worthy choice in the segment. The device offers a stable user experience at an accessible price," said Mr. Nguyen Van Giau, representative of the My Mobile system.

In the same mid-range - high-end segment, iPhone 13 is competing with a series of Android rivals such as Honor 400, Samsung Galaxy A56, realme 15 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+.

Although it was launched in 2021, the iPhone 13 is still of interest to a large number of users thanks to its compact design, strong performance, good camera, and long-term support from the Apple ecosystem.

However, Android smartphones in the same segment also have their own strengths. With the advantage of being launched later, mid-range high-end Android smartphones possess diverse designs, good performance, strong batteries and many new AI features.
