According to Cam Ranh Port, despite facing many challenges in 2025, the unit still achieved impressive growth. After the first 9 months of the year, the port's cargo throughput reached 3 million tons, up 51% over the same period in 2024 and exceeding the annual target. By the end of the year, Cam Ranh Port is expected to reach about 3.7 million tons of cargo, up 53% over the previous year.
The structure of goods passing through Cam Ranh port still focuses on main groups such as construction stone, wood chips and concrete components. In particular, construction stone products recorded a sudden growth, reaching more than 1.3 million tons, equivalent to 285% compared to the same period and 154% of the yearly plan, thanks to the large demand from key national infrastructure projects.
In addition, other items such as precast concrete, construction sand, cement, machinery, molasses, etc. all grew by double digits, contributing to maintaining double-digit growth.
By the end of September 2025, Cam Ranh port had received 653 ships, including 16 foreign ships. Revenue for the first 9 months reached 176 billion VND, up 36% over the same period; port exploitation revenue alone reached more than 101 billion VND (up 55%), while logistics - trade reached more than 73 billion VND (up 21%).
Since April 2025, Cam Ranh Port has put into operation the Logistics Trade Service Center and cooperated with Quy Nhon Port to deploy transportation services from the mine to the construction site. Thanks to that, the port has developed 30 new customers, contributing 550,000 tons of cargo to the total output.
Not stopping there, Cam Ranh port is preparing to start the joint venture petroleum depot project with PV OIL, with an expected output of 200,000 tons/year. In the period of 2025 - 2030, the port will continue to invest in expanding the wharf, upgrading the capacity to receive ships up to 70,000 DWT, gradually affirming its role as a strategic seaport of the South Central region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated Cam Ranh Port's efforts in digital transformation, service development and labor safety assurance. Mr. Toan requested the unit to continue to maintain its growth momentum, aiming for the milestone of 4 million tons of cargo in 2026, while developing towards a green port, smart port, modern and sustainable.
