(VTC News) - Businesswomen Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Pham Thu Huong, Pham Thuy Hang, Vu Thi Hien, and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy are currently the five richest women on the Vietnamese stock market.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet Air - Code: VJC) is currently ranked 4th and is also the richest female entrepreneur on the Vietnamese stock exchange with assets of more than 39,600 billion VND.

Ms. Thao holds more than 47 million VJC shares, accounting for 8.02% of capital. At the same time, the businesswoman owns nearly 131 million HDB shares, equivalent to 3.7% of capital at Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( HDBank - Code: HDB).

According to Forbes update , as of October 18, Ms. Thao has assets of 4.2 billion USD, ranked 960th in the list of world billionaires. She is known as the first female USD billionaire in Vietnam and the first self-made female billionaire in Southeast Asia.

Ms. Thuy and Mr. Hung Anh started their business in the seafood sector, then they continuously tried their hand in different fields. Currently, both of them are in the Top richest people on the Vietnamese stock market, in which Mr. Hung Anh ranked 6th and Ms. Thuy ranked 10th.

According to Techcombank's management report, Ms. Thuy currently holds more than 348 million TCB shares, equivalent to more than 4.9% of capital. In addition, some sources said that Ms. Thuy owns shares at Masan Group Corporation (Code: MSN).

Thus, the total asset value of the 5 richest "women" on the Vietnamese stock market is estimated at more than 127 billion VND.
