The world's first Michelin-starred meal in space

According to the NYPost , the six explorers “will make history by enjoying a meal from a Michelin-starred chef above 99 percent of Earth’s atmosphere” during the six-hour journey, which starts at $495,000 per ticket. In a statement, Space Perspective founder and co-CEO Jane Poynter said the company is making the experience of space more accessible than ever through unique flights that enable life-changing moments and give us a deeper insight into the world.

As they ascend to an altitude of around 30km above sea level, adventurers will have access to on-board wifi and will be able to live stream their experiences and connect with friends and family back home during the flight. According to Chiporukha, Chef Rasmus will serve imaginative dishes “inspired by the role of space exploration in human history and its impact on our society over the past 60 years, both scientifically and philosophically.” Chiporukha said the dishes have not yet been finalized and will be revealed after the next phase of planning for the expedition.

Chef Ramsus's Copenhagen-based restaurant Alchemist has received two Michelin stars since 2020 and is ranked fifth among the world's top eateries in the World's 50 Best Restaurants.
