Doodle painting on Ho Chi Minh City tourism theme sets Vietnam record

After 7 exciting days, on the evening of December 10, the closing ceremony of the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2023 was held in front of the City Post Office (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

According to statistics, during the Tourism Week, the city attracted 71,000 visitors to visit and interact in all tourist spaces in the area; hundreds of millions of followers on mass media and social networks; accommodation room occupancy rate during the event reached 80%; revenue of businesses participating in stimulating tourism increased.

2,500 locals and tourists colored a doodle together to receive a Vietnamese record.

Of which, Penguin Travel Company alone organized tours for 6,000 guests, with revenue of nearly 1.6 billion VND.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that in the urgent atmosphere of the last days of the year, all tourism workers from districts to cities are urgently carrying out a series of activities to serve people and tourists, communicate about destinations and spread the message of green tourism.

Ambassadors contribute to promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City during Tourism Week

At the closing ceremony, the Vietnam Record Organization recognized the 3m x 22m doodle painting made up of 22 pieces symbolizing Thu Duc City and 21 districts with images inspired by culture and tourism as "The largest doodle painting about Ho Chi Minh City tourism in Vietnam".

This painting was made in 80 hours by 25 artists, depicting the characteristics, traditions, and tourist destinations of each locality, and 2,500 people worked together to complete the colorful painting. Thereby, the painting contributes to promoting the image and tourism brand of Ho Chi Minh City.
