Exploding Summer tourism event chain, organizing the first Teqball World Cup in 2024

Following the success of Binh Dinh Amazing Fest 2024 Culture, Sports and Tourism Week and to continue attracting domestic and foreign tourists to the province in 2024, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee organizes a series of Summer tourism events in 2024.

With the theme "Quy Nhon - Sea Paradise - Shine and develop", the 2024 Summer tourism season in Binh Dinh officially kicked off in June, with main events including: Opening of the 2024 Summer Tourism (June 8); 2024 TeqBall World Championship (from June 6 - 9); VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2024 (from June 21 - 23); Conference to promote investment, trade and tourism development in the Southern provinces with Indian partners (June 2024); Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh Kite Festival (June 2024); 2024 National Youth Athletics Championship (from June 26 - July 5); 2024 National Beach Soccer Championship (from July 11 - 21); National Youth Kickboxing Championship 2024 (from July 22 to 31); National Youth Basketball Tournament for 3x3 age groups 2024 (from August 10 to 20); Program "Tourism, Cinema and Sports - Proud of Vietnamese Identity" (August 2024) and sideline events.

The highlight of the series of events is the 2024 Teqball World Cup, held for the first time in Vietnam, hosted by Binh Dinh province from June 6-9.

Teqball is a sport that combines elements of football and table tennis, notably the ball is played on a curved table. Teqball is a pure form of football, with no physical contact between players. Therefore, players and players rarely get injured during training and competition.

TeqBall is a sport that combines football, table tennis and competitive play. This sport was born in Hungary in 2014 and is increasingly attracting the attention of many players, especially football stars.

The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) currently has over 150 member National Federations, over 4,000 clubs worldwide and over 800 trained referees. FITEQ has organized 5 World Cups (2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023).

Hosting the Teqball International Tournament 2024 in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province aims to contribute to attracting tourists to Binh Dinh - a land rich in natural resources and talented people, creating highlights and deep impressions for domestic and foreign tourists, gradually introducing and bringing the image of Binh Dinh Province to the world; serving to attract investment and develop the socio -economy in the province.

Mr. Béla Müller, Head of Communications and Public Relations, International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) said that the 2024 Teqball World Series will take place in Quy Nhon beach area, with the participation of 131 teams from 53 countries around the world.

The main athletes of the countries (Poland, Hungary, Thailand, France, USA, China) will come to Quy Nhon from the beginning of June 2024 to practice and get familiar with the location to achieve the best performance before competing.

During outdoor competitions, players often pay attention to factors such as sunlight, wind and temperature. Therefore, it is understandable that the Organizing Committee chose Quy Nhon Beach as the location - a place with quite ideal climate and weather.

He said that the countries with the largest number of athletes participating and leading in this sport are Hungary, Thailand, Denmark, USA, Brazil, Poland, Serbia, Romania, Lebanon, Tunisia and France. In addition, there are many great talents in some other countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, China, Senegal, Italy, Argentina, Colombia.

"Hopefully Vietnam will also be present in this tournament," said Mr. Béla Müller.

Binh Dinh Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs informed that currently, the organizing committee and Quy Nhon City government are actively and urgently completing the preparation work along with sideline activities such as culinary culture festival, kite flying, fireworks... to create a vibrant atmosphere to welcome the event; at the same time, to express the unique cultural identity of Binh Dinh to serve tourists.
