Ho Dac Thanh Chuong, champion of the 16th Road to Olympia.

Ho Dac Thanh Chuong, the 16th Olympia champion, graduated from Swinburne University, Australia in 2022. From 2023 until now, he has been working at Google Sydney (Australia). “National and international competitions for excellent students in high school often aim for depth. That is, studying a certain subject and 'digging deeply' very carefully. The Road to Olympia is a very different playground, requiring breadth. When working in large companies, at low levels, depth is needed, but the higher the level, the more breadth is needed. Breadth here is knowledge, broad understanding and also the spirit of the Road to Olympia.

Now, when I am working at Google, in a group where I want to succeed, it requires a lot of support and each individual in the group needs to know how to cooperate with each other, know how to optimize the resources and experience of each individual. Competition, if any, the question is whether today is better than yesterday and how to be better tomorrow than today", Ho Dac Thanh Chuong shared.

Mr. Phan Manh Tan, the second year Olympia champion, after graduating with a degree in Computer Science, completed his PhD in Information Technology and was recruited by IBM - a multinational computer technology corporation headquartered in the US - immediately after graduation. Currently, Mr. Tan is the chief solution architect for digital experiences in the Asia- Pacific region. “Things change so quickly now, what you learned yesterday may no longer be important tomorrow. With the rapid development of technology industries, the most important ability today is the ability to learn new things and adapt to new trends,” Mr. Tan shared.
