Buriram United FC won the Thai FA Cup this season when they defeated Bangkok United 2-0 in the final on the evening of May 28.

The man who scored both goals for Buriram United was striker Jonathan Bolingi.

Thai league player had his contract terminated after unbelievable behavior towards his opponent.

Jonathan Bolingi's contract was not renewed by Buriram United

However, the joy was not complete for the Congolese star when he received a red card in the second half's injury time.

Specifically, in the 90+1 minute, Jonathan Bolingi was stripped of his right to play after choking Bangkok United player Rungrath Poomchantuek.

According to Thairath newspaper, the 28-year-old striker had a verbal argument with the opponent's assistant Rodrigo Squinalli while leaving the field.

The Bangkok United assistant then slapped Jonathan Bolingi in the face and continued to use bad words towards the Buriram United foreign player.

At that time, defender Theerathon Bunmathan rushed in to stop the fight but Jonathan Bolingi still escaped and swung his fist at Rodrigo Squinalli's face.

After the match ended, Buriram United Club President Newin Chidchob said he would not renew Jonathan Bolingi's contract and apologized for the player's behavior.

It is known that the Congolese player's contract only expires on May 31 and Buriram United is planning to extend it with him.

“This action is the reason why Jonathan Bolingi is a good player but will not continue playing for Buriram United.

Even in friendly matches, Jonathan Bolingi could not control his behavior.

When we cannot control Jonathan Bolingi and he cannot control himself, perhaps the two sides should not continue working together,” said the Chairman of Buriram United.

Recently, Thai football has been boiling over with a brawl in the final match of men's football at the 32nd SEA Games.

After that fight, the Thai Football Federation decided to ban 3 assistants of the Thai U22 team from participating in team activities for 1 year. 2 other players of the "War Elephants" who participated in the fight were banned from playing for 6 months.
