According to initial information, at around 3:00 p.m. on February 5, a fire suddenly broke out at the GP alcohol production facility located in Song Phuong commune (Hoai Duc district, Hanoi).

Witnesses said the fire broke out very quickly and they tried to call people to put it out but failed.

After a few minutes, the fierce fire spread to an alcohol factory and a bottle factory next door.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai, Dan Phuong District Police and the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police) arrived at the scene to put out the fire.

Because this is an alcohol production facility, putting out the fire was difficult. Authorities had to use an excavator to break down the wall to gain access.
