Hanoi: Urgently handle temporary shed fire at midnight

At around 0:12 on August 28, a fire broke out in a temporary shed on Tan Trieu Moi Street (Thanh Liet Ward, Hanoi). A police officer was injured while participating in firefighting.

Initial information, at the above time, a fire suddenly broke out at the temporary shelter with an area of ​​about 500m2 mentioned above. The column of black smoke rose dozens of meters high, making many people worried. The area where the fire occurred was flooded, making it difficult for the facility to handle the initial work.

After receiving the news, the Command Information Center - Hanoi City Police mobilized Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of areas No. 31, No. 12, No. 13 and No. 4 (Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Hanoi City Police) to deploy 60 officers, soldiers and 10 specialized vehicles to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Realizing the complexity of the fire area, the authorities mobilized an excavator to help put out the fire. By around 1am the same day, the fire was under control, preventing it from spreading to the surrounding area. A soldier from the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 31 was injured while fighting the fire.

Initial information said the fire area was about 230m2 . The fire did not cause any human casualties; property damage is being assessed; the cause of the fire is being investigated.
