Standardizing processes and improving the working environment at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2

The training course was attended by more than 200 trainees who are heads and deputy heads of centers, departments, and offices; Head nurses, and officers in the hospital quality network.

5S is a method of managing and arranging the workplace, understood as: Sorting - Arranging - Cleaning - Caring - Being Ready. At the program, lecturers from Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1 instructed on 5S practice in hospitals, including contents such as: benefits of 5S in hospitals, steps to practice 5S in hospitals, practical lessons in the implementation process.

In addition, the lecturer also shared a new perspective on 5S in the digital age; 5S combined with technology in a number of areas such as: drug warehouse management, medical equipment and supplies; electronic document and record management; human resource management. After the theoretical training program, the lecturer supported the rearrangement of departments, piloted at the Department of Trauma Surgery - General Hospital No. 2, and then expanded to departments throughout the hospital.

Lecturers convey the content

The training course is not only an exchange of experiences between the two leading hospitals of the province, but also helps to equip more knowledge and practical skills of the 5S method for officers, civil servants and employees of General Hospital No. 1. Thereby raising awareness of maintaining a scientific , tidy, clean and safe working environment; towards the goal of "Green - clean - beautiful - professional hospital", contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment services.
