Selling pressure appeared at the end of the session, causing VN-Index to slightly decrease by nearly 0.5 points, the board differentiated when cash flow only focused on a few codes, scattered across industries.
VN-Index opened in green, rising more than 5 points after only the first 20 minutes of trading. After that, the HoSE representative index dropped and started to fluctuate at the end of the morning session. This index stayed close to the reference until nearly 2 p.m., before recording more selling pressure and turning red. In the last minutes of the session, the index continued to struggle.
VN-Index closed at 1,172.55 points, down slightly by nearly 0.5 points compared to yesterday. The entire HoSE floor had 267 stocks decreasing in price, while 199 stocks increased.
The three groups of technology, retail and chemicals continued to lead the industry index. The positive performance of the groups mainly came from the pull of pillar stocks such asFPT , GVR and MWG. All three codes increased by more than 2% today and ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively in the top 10 stocks contributing the most to the increase of VN-Index.
The real estate sector index decreased, but there were still some stocks leading the market. NVL ranked first in liquidity with more than VND1,130 billion, accounting for nearly 6% of the total trading value on the HoSE floor. Novaland 's stock code closed the session up 1.8%. PDR ranked second in liquidity with nearly VND970 billion. The market price of this stock accumulated 4.4% compared to the reference. Both were in the top 10 stocks contributing the most increase to the market.
Today, the stock market also showed many green colors. Notably, MBS closed 2.7% higher than the reference price. VIX and VCI both increased by more than 1%. SSI only increased by 0.4% in market price, but liquidity was among the highest in the market with more than 820 billion VND.
Liquidity continued to move in the opposite direction of the score. Total transaction value on the HoSE floor reached more than VND20,000 billion, an increase of more than VND4,700 billion.
After three sessions of prioritizing stock accumulation, foreign investors returned to net selling today, net selling more than 210 billion VND. They focused on selling VNM, SHS, PC1.
