Dien Quan Group of companies of "Color man" owes 75 billion VND in taxes

(Dan Tri) - Last April, the owner of Dien Quan appeared in a video applying for a job at a real estate company in Nha Trang. This information, combined with previous business incidents, caused a stir among netizens.

The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department 14 has just announced the list of taxpayers who still owe taxes and other revenues to the state budget. Accordingly, there are 1,165 taxpayers named with a total debt of more than 1,114 billion VND.

At the top is Dat Lanh Real Estate Company Limited with a debt of more than 95.3 billion VND. Next is Saigon Technology Engineering Joint Stock Company with a debt of 54.2 billion VND and Tan Vu Minh Construction - Investment and Real Estate Trading Company Limited with a debt of more than 40.3 billion VND.

Notably, the Dien Quan group of companies includes: Dien Quan Group Joint Stock Company owes nearly 29.4 billion VND; Dien Quan Network Digital Entertainment Joint Stock Company owes 24.5 billion VND; and Dien Quan Network Digital Entertainment Joint Stock Company (HTKD) owes 20.97 billion VND.

In total, three companies in the Dien Quan ecosystem of businessman Do Van Buu Dien (Color Man) owe nearly 75 billion VND. All three of these businesses are headquartered at 33 Van Kiep, Gia Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Dien Quan Group Joint Stock Company, formerly Dien Quan Media and Entertainment Company Limited, was established in 2006, then changed its name to Dien Quan Group Joint Stock Company.

Before the tax scandal, Dien Quan was one of the famous names in the Southern entertainment content production industry, behind a series of popular TV shows such as "Comedy Challenge", "Whose Voice Is It", "Lyric Battle", " Food Paradise"...

Since 2023, Dien Quan group of companies has continuously been on the tax debt list and has also stopped producing entertainment programs.

Dien Quan Group is the career of Mr. Do Van Buu Dien (born in 1969), commonly known by the nickname Color Man.

Around last April, Color Man attracted attention when he announced (through a video clip, broadcast on his personal channel) that he was applying for a job at a real estate company in Nha Trang after many bankruptcies, causing a stir among netizens. Accordingly, Color Man wanted to apply for a security job with a salary of 2 million VND/month to "earn more money to buy milk for his children".

This information created mixed opinions from the public, many people believed and expressed sympathy for his downfall, many opinions said that it could be a new media "trick" for him to polish his name.
