On the afternoon of October 18 at Binh Duong New City Stadium (HCMC), the HCMC Police football team was crowned champion of the Becamex Cup 2025 Community Football Tournament - the 18th time in 2025 after a resounding 9-2 victory over Nhat Trung Club in the final match.
Entering the final match, Ho Chi Minh City Police with a strong force and a squad of experienced players played better. In particular, two former national players Le Tan Tai and Dao Van Phong were important pillars in the team's playing style.
Right in the first half, the new champion's strength was clearly shown when striker Quoc Bao scored a hat-trick, along with goals from Tan Tai and Van Duy, helping Ho Chi Minh City Police lead 5-0 before the break.
In the second half, Coach Bao Tien added young faces such as U17 Vietnam players, Nguyen Le Minh Khoi and Ho Minh Khoi. Despite the new lineup, Ho Chi Minh City Police still maintained their dominance, with each player scoring a goal. This is the first time in history that Ho Chi Minh City Police have won the Becamex Cup - the largest 11-a-side football tournament in the country, attracting hundreds of teams each season. Previously, this team won the runner-up position in the 2023 season, and won the championship with a convincing performance from start to finish.
