The closing ceremony of the 18th Becamex Group Community Football Tournament - Becamex Group Cup 2025 took place at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center (Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) on the evening of October 18.
After nearly four months of exciting competition, the tournament ended successfully, marking a new milestone for the mass sports movement in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.
Hundreds of matches, thousands of players from companies, factories, schools and units across industrial zones have created an explosive season, rich in humanity and connection.
Previously, in the final match that took place in the afternoon at Thanh Pho Moi Stadium, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team defeated Nhat Trung 9-2 to be crowned champion for the first time at the largest 11-a-side amateur tournament in the country.
With a squad of experienced players, especially two former national players Le Tan Tai and Dao Van Phong in the squad, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team proved to be too strong for Nhat Trung team in the final match that took place earlier on the New City field.
In the first half, striker Quoc Bao scored a hat-trick. Meanwhile, Tan Tai and Van Duy also scored, helping the HCM City Police team lead 5-0.
In the second half, Coach Bao Tien sent young faces onto the field such as U17 Vietnam players Nguyen Le Minh Khoi and Ho Minh Khoi. These new players also quickly shone, contributing to the HCM City Police team's overall victory of 9-2.
In addition to the championship cup and 100 million VND in prize money, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team also won an individual title "Best Goalkeeper" for Nguyen Thanh Nam.
The tournament was founded and sponsored by Becamex Group, and is held annually with the goal of creating a healthy playground, improving health, and connecting workers and laborers in the province.
After 18 seasons, Becamex Group Cup has become a symbol of the community sports movement and the pride of Binh Duong people.
