Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club has parted ways with head coach Huynh Quoc Anh after previously saying goodbye to 18 players and coaching staff.

On the afternoon of July 11, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club officially announced parting ways with head coach Huynh Quoc Anh after losing the ticket to promote to V-League 2025-2026.

"With his dedication and relentless efforts, Coach Huynh Quoc Anh has brought Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club closest to the V-League dream.

Although the journey was not as perfect as expected, the medal in the last season was also a recognition of the efforts of the whole team - including the silent mark of him - the true leader", the club's fanpage wrote.

Coach Huynh Quoc Anh was loaned to Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club fromSHB Da Nang Club at the beginning of the season. At that time, he was the youth coach of the Han River football team. He returned to Binh Phuoc to be an assistant to head coach Nguyen Anh Duc in the 2024-2025 First Division.

But mid-season, coach Nguyen Anh Duc decided to leave, forcing Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club to promote assistant coach Quoc Anh to captain.

Having no experience leading a professional club, Coach Quoc Anh has led Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club to continue to maintain its impressive achievements. Thereby winning the runner-up position in the 2024-2025 First Division and a place in the play-off match for the right to be promoted to V-League.

Fate was quite "teasing" for coach Quoc Anh when Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club had to face SHB Da Nang Club in the play-off match at Thong Nhat Stadium at the end of June. As a result, the Southeast team lost 0-2, unable to realize their dream of promotion.

At the end of the season, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club and coach Huynh Quoc Anh have decided to part ways.

While not yet officially announced, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club has contacted and reached an agreement with Coach Nguyen Viet Thang to lead the team in the 2025-2026 First Division. And thereby continue to achieve the goal of winning the right to play in the V-League.

In the 2024-2025 First Division, Coach Viet Thang led Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club to the championship with a record of 20 unbeaten matches (19 wins). However, he left the team after the end of the season.

Notably, both coaches Quoc Anh and Viet Thang are currently in Japan, attending the second phase of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) professional coaching training course with 16 other coaches. Both will only return to Vietnam on July 21.
