Novaland shares plummet, Vietnam Airlines suddenly sold off

Strong selling pressure at the beginning of the afternoon session caused all market indices to turn around. VN-Index's increase range was significantly narrowed, ending the session up only 1.36 points, equivalent to 0.11%, stopping at 1,281.18 points.

VN30 stocks played a big role in keeping the market pace. With 15 stocks increasing in price, VN30-Index increased by 5.48 points, equivalent to 0.42%. HNX-Index increased slightly by 0.07 points, equivalent to 0.03%; UPCoM-Index increased by 0.34 points, equivalent to 0.34%.

Market liquidity improved compared to yesterday's session, reaching 684.25 million shares equivalent to VND16,413.87 billion on HoSE; 58.93 million shares equivalent to VND1,113.37 billion on HNX and 58.73 million shares equivalent to VND1,047.35 billion on UPCoM.

HoSE floor has 211 codes increased, 11 codes increased ceiling compared to 215 codes decreased, 4 codes decreased floor. Among the codes decreased floor is HVN stock of Vietnam Airlines .

HVN had a time when its price increased to 33,800 VND but then suddenly decreased to 31,250 VND/unit on the HoSE floor. The total matching order of the session reached 10.6 million shares, with no buyers; in which the number of shares matched at the floor price accounted for the largest proportion, reaching 3.3 million units.

Meanwhile, some other stocks in the same industry such as VJC still increased in price by 1.2%; SCS increased by 1.4%; VNS increased by 0.9%.

In the real estate group, NVL shares fluctuated in the morning session and increased at times, but were sold off heavily in the afternoon session, down 4.5% to 12,600 VND; matching orders at a high of 22.6 million units.

In a related development, Novagroup Joint Stock Company has just registered to sell 2 million NVL shares of No Va Real Estate Investment Group Joint Stock Company ( Novaland ) for the reason of balancing the investment portfolio and supporting debt restructuring. The expected time is from July 18 to 26. If the transaction is successful, Novagroup will reduce its ownership ratio at Novaland from 17.892% to 17.788%.

Some other real estate codes such as ITA also decreased by 5.8%; CKG decreased by 3.8%; DXS decreased by 3.8%; CCL decreased by 3.2%; PDR decreased by 3.2%; DXG decreased by 2.4%. Some other codes still achieved an increase such as SIP increased by 5%; TIP increased by 4.3%; TDC increased by 2.3%; VPH increased by 2.1%; BCM increased by 1.9%.

Healthcare stocks remain "hot" despite signs of correction in the general market. VMD, IMP, DCL, OPC, DHG, DBD, JVC, DBT all hit the ceiling, most of them had no sell orders and some buy orders at the ceiling price.

On the HNX, DVM, AMV, VHE stocks hit the ceiling; DP3 increased by 5.8%; DTG increased by 6.3%; PMC increased by 3.7%. On the UPCoM floor, DP1, PBC, DAN, DVN, MRF, DDN, GPC stocks hit the ceiling, with an increase of up to 15%; TTD increased by 8.3%; TW3 increased by 7.8%; MKP increased by 6.7%; CDP increased by 6.2%; DTP increased by 6%; CNC increased by 4.4%.

In the banking group, NAB increased by 4.3%; MBB increased by 2.2%; HDB increased by 1.4%; BID increased by 1.3%; CTG increased by 1.2%; VPB and TPB both increased by 1.1%. Other codes increased slightly but played an important role in supporting the VN-Index due to their large capitalization such as VCB, STB, TCB. Accordingly, in this session, BID contributed 1.21 points to the VN-Index; VCB contributed 0.7 points; MBB contributed 0.6 points and CTG contributed 0.5 points.

Regarding foreign transactions, this group of investors still sold a net 235 billion VND in the whole market, but the level of net selling has cooled down compared to yesterday's session. The groups with strong net selling are MWG, MSN, TCB, VND; on the contrary, the codes with net buying are NLG, FPT, TPB...
