Ms. Le Thi Ai Van, homeroom teacher of class 8/1, said that to prepare for the activity, she and her students had planned a week in advance from collecting foam nets, washing them, drying them, coloring them... "The class was divided into 8 teams; the teams came up with their own ideas, mixed colors, drew and decorated them. With their rich imagination, the students created vivid, innocent pictures of Hang, Cuoi, carrying lanterns, breaking moon cakes, and loving families...", Ms. Van shared.

Seemingly considered as waste that should be thrown away, foam nets create colorful paintings thanks to the creativity of the students. The students were all very excited to make paintings from this new material. Le Ngoc Quynh Chi, a student of class 8/1, excitedly shared that with the idea of wanting to make a Mid-Autumn Festival painting of friends from all over the country, her group drew images of friends celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival such as carrying lanterns, breaking necks... with the main material being foam nets. "Through extracurricular activities, I learned how to distinguish recycled materials and utilize them to create useful items; thereby, contributing to reducing waste and training aesthetic thinking," Chi expressed.

At the end of the extracurricular period, 8 teams completed 8 works with their own colors and personalities with many messages such as: Reunion Festival; Children from all regions enjoy Mid-Autumn Festival; Sparkling Moonlight Night; Mid-Autumn Festival in the countryside... The students all felt proud of what they had done, and at the same time became more aware of the importance of building good habits to protect the environment. "After completion, the paintings will be hung in the classroom to decorate the classroom to make it more lively and beautiful; thereby helping the students love their school more," said Ms. Van.

It is known that the teacher and students of class 8/1 have carried out many extracurricular activities with the theme of recycling waste such as: lucky money envelopes; candy wrappers; cardboard, plastic bags, newspapers, dry leaves... A unique learning space is gradually taking shape, where every corner of the classroom can see creative works made from recycled materials by the students themselves. Lessons on recycling and environmental protection have been cleverly integrated by the teacher, thereby helping students understand that some waste can be made into useful items.
