Press conference to announce information about the first " World Cultural Festival in Hanoi" program
The first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi will take place from October 3 to 5 at the Central Relic Site of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. The program includes many special activities: World Cultural Festival, international cuisine , film screenings, folk dance, fine arts, international costume show, Ao Dai festival, international book festival and exchange activities and exhibitions.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, the festival is an important cultural initiative, affirming the pivotal role of culture in sustainable development, contributing to uniting nations and peoples to overcome global challenges such as conflicts, epidemics, climate change, and join hands towards peace and prosperity.
According to the organizers, as of September 25, 48 embassies, international organizations and foreign cultural centers in Vietnam have registered to participate. The event brings together 45 national cultural spaces, 33 food stalls, 16 domestic and foreign art troupes, 12 book presentation units and 20 countries sending films to the screening program. This is expected to be a large-scale festival, gathering the cultural quintessence of five continents in the heart of Hanoi.
Thang Long Imperial Citadel is the venue for the Hanoi World Cultural Festival.
At the press conference, the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information announced the event's official information page at https://Worldculturefestival.vn, helping the public easily look up and update the schedule.
With the motto “culture is the foundation - art is the means”, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that the festival will become an annual international cultural event of Hanoi, promoting people-to-people exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and other countries, and affirming the contribution of culture in implementing the United Nations sustainable development goals, for global peace and prosperity.
