Announcing the 20 nominees for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association, spoke at the first meeting to select the top 20 nominees.

On September 20, the Central Youth Union announced the top 20 nominations for the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards.

These are the candidates with the best achievements selected from 69 profiles of 39 nominating units participating in the award.

According to the award council, this year many individuals have patents, utility solutions, many high-quality international publications in the Q1 category, many domestic and international awards and medals.

In 2024, the 21st Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards will be deployed and widely launched to 203 focal points of agencies and units both domestically and internationally.

Among the 62 valid applications, there are 10 applications in the fields of information technology, digital transformation and automation, medical and pharmaceutical technology (13 applications), biotechnology (6 applications), environmental technology (13 applications) and new materials technology (20 applications).

In terms of gender, there were 59 male and 10 female participants. In terms of education, there was 1 associate professor, 49 PhDs, 14 masters and 6 bachelors. Candidates under 30 years old accounted for 17.7%.

On September 17, at the Central Youth Union headquarters, the award council held its first meeting to select 20 nominations for the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award.

After announcing the top 20 on the media, the council will hold its second meeting in mid-October 2024 to select the 10 most outstanding faces to nominate the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union to award the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award in 2024.
