Vietnam Education Publishing House donates books to students of Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation)

The visit of the Vietnam Education Publishing House to Saint Petersburg has contributed to strengthening educational cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

On October 3, in Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation), a delegation of Vietnam Education Publishing House led by Editor-in-Chief Pham Vinh Thai visited and worked with a number of educational and cultural agencies and units of the city.

The visit began with a flower-laying ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Igor Bodnarchuk, Head of the Department for Relations with International Organizations of the Saint Petersburg Foreign Affairs Committee, and representatives of the Vyborg district administration.

The focus of the program was a visit to High School No. 488, Vyborg District - where the Ho Chi Minh Museum has been established since 2023. The delegation visited the museum and had a working session with Ms. Natalia Osennova - Principal of the school.

On this occasion, Dr. Pham Vinh Thai, representing Vietnam Education Publishing House, presented many educational books to students, expressing his affection and respect for the educational institution and his desire to contribute to promoting cultural and educational exchange between the two countries.

At the end of the program, both sides expressed their desire to continue expanding and strengthening cooperation in the field of education, contributing to strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. Notably, the visit took place on the eve of Teachers' Day (in the Russian Federation), which has a profound symbolic meaning.

Vietnam Education Publishing House was established on June 1, 1957, under the Ministry of Education and Training . After nearly 70 years of development, Vietnam Education Publishing House is the largest educational publishing unit in the country, with nearly 40 member units and contributed capital, publishing thousands of titles each year.

Vietnam Education Publishing House currently ensures 75% market share of educational books in Vietnam, performing the tasks of compiling, editing, publishing and distributing textbooks, teaching materials and electronic resources for teaching and learning.

In addition, Vietnam Education Publishing House promotes international cooperation, participates in cultural and educational projects for the Vietnamese community abroad, typically the "Vietnamese Bookshelf" initiative - in collaboration with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, and simultaneously implements many innovative initiatives in the field of education and expands international partnerships.
