Da Nang welcomes Thai students to learn Vietnamese

On October 6, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Da Nang city in collaboration with the University of Education (Da Nang University) and Udon Thani Rajabhat University (Thailand) held a welcoming ceremony for three new Thai students to study in the city within the framework of the educational project "Intensive Vietnamese language program for Thai students".

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Principal of the University of Education (University of Danang ), expressed his joy at welcoming Thai students to study at the school, and encouraged them to study hard and achieve good results during their time in Vietnam.

Mr. Pham Huu Hoa, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Da Nang City, gave an overview of Da Nang City, the Association's activities, as well as the close relationship between the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association and the Central Committee of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association. He wished the Thai students an effective, happy and healthy study time at the University of Education (Da Nang University); and affirmed that the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Da Nang City will always accompany and support the students during their study and living in Vietnam.

Representative of Udon Thani Rajabhat University (Thailand), Dr. Mai Xuan Hung, member of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, hopes that the University of Education (University of Danang) will create favorable conditions for Thai students to successfully complete their study program in Vietnam.

According to information from the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, each scholarship within the framework of the educational project "Intensive Vietnamese Language Program for Thai Students" sponsored by the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association and partners, is worth 50,000 baht. Students receiving the scholarship will study Vietnamese at Udon Thani Rajabhat University and practice Vietnamese for one month at the University of Education (Da Nang University). The program aims to improve the Vietnamese language proficiency and understanding of Vietnamese culture for Thai students, contributing to training young people to become a bridge to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two peoples.
