SpaceX launches 11th test flight of Mega Starship rocket
SpaceX has conducted the 11th test launch of its Starship rocket – the largest and most powerful rocket ever built. The goal of this Starship rocket is to fly halfway around the Earth and release simulated satellites like in the previous test.
The rocket launched from Starbase in south Texas. The booster was programmed to separate and fall into the Gulf of Mexico, while the spacecraft glided through space and landed in the Indian Ocean. No parts were recovered from the flight.

Starship will carry eight Starlink satellites to test its transport capabilities. The flight is expected to last just over an hour.
NASA needs Starship to take astronauts from lunar orbit to the surface and back again. It is a key part of its plan to land humans on the Moon by the end of the decade.
