In order to be proactive in flood and storm prevention, minimizing damage to people and property, Phuc Long Hydropower Joint Stock Company has just issued Notice No. 11/2025/TBXL-PL to relevant agencies and units on flood discharge notification of Phuc Long Hydropower Reservoir.

Notice sent to agencies and units: Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee; Lao Cai Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control; Lao Cai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade; Lao Cai Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment; Lao Cai Provincial Hydrometeorological Center; Lao Cai Radio and Television Station; Northern Cement Trading Joint Stock Company; Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Company; People's Committees of the communes: Bao Yen, Xuan Hoa, Phuc Khanh, Tan Linh, Khanh Hoa

According to the announcement, it is expected that in the coming time, the water flow to Phuc Long hydroelectric reservoir will reach about 350-900 ^m3 /s. Therefore, to ensure the safety of the reservoir, dam, works and ensure the safety of the downstream area of ​​​​the hydroelectric dam. Phuc Long Hydroelectric Joint Stock Company plans to discharge floodwater from Phuc Long hydroelectric reservoir and notify the specific agencies and units:

1. Expected start time: 10:30 a.m. September 9, 2025.

2. Discharge flow through generator: 320 (m ³ /s).

3. Overflow flow: ~ 30 - 580 (m ³ /s) and can increase or decrease according to reality.

4. Total discharge to downstream: ~ 350 - 900 (m ³ /s) and can increase or decrease according to reality.

5. Downstream water level: expected from + 69.5 and may change depending on the actual discharge flow situation.

When there is a change in discharge flow, the Company will notify relevant agencies and units according to regulations.
