Regarding the high-voltage grid, heavy rains caused erosion of the footing of a 110KV power line in Gia Phu commune, threatening to endanger the safety of the entire power system in the Phu Yen - Bac Yen area. The distribution grid also suffered heavy damage, with a total of 143 transformer stations affected and more than 10,240 customers losing power due to flooding, landslides, broken power poles, tilted poles and landslides. The most seriously affected localities are Moc Chau, Mai Son, Yen Chau... In the area, power lines were interrupted, causing thousands of households to lose power.
Mr. Tran Duy Chinh, Director of Son La Power Company, said: Son La Power Company has urgently deployed an emergency response plan. Production and repair teams have been mobilized to the maximum, closely coordinating with local forces to approach the points where power incidents occurred to repair power lines and replace damaged power poles, with the goal of restoring power to the people as soon as possible. Strengthen propaganda and guidance for people to raise awareness of safety when using electricity, especially in complicated storms and floods.
After more than two days of mobilizing maximum forces and means to urgently deploy timely response measures, focusing on handling weak points and overcoming power problems, Son La Power Company has restored most of the power load. By 11:00 a.m. on October 2, 112/143 transformer stations had resumed operation, restoring power to 8,943 customers. However, there are still 31 transformer stations and 1,297 customers without power, mainly in areas with complex terrain and severe landslides that are difficult to access. Currently, the Company is continuing to mobilize all forces, means and materials to complete the repair of the last points; striving to complete in the next 48 hours.
In the process of implementing the task of overcoming electrical problems, Son La Power Company strictly adheres to the motto of "urgent - safe - effective". All activities must comply with labor safety regulations, avoiding unfortunate accidents that may occur in bad weather conditions. At the same time, the unit has increased periodic inspections of the remaining power lines, ready to respond to possible floods.
We, along with some workers of the High Voltage Power Enterprise - Son La Power Company and the High Voltage Power Group - Phu Yen Power Company, approached the 110kV power pole at position 182, in Dong village, Gia Phu commune, due to the impact of storm No. 10 causing heavy rain leading to a major flood on Tac stream, eroding the foundation of the power pole. At the scene, part of the foundation of the pole was washed away by floodwaters, which could cause the pole to fall, affecting the main transmission line in the Phu Yen - Bac Yen area. Immediately after approaching the scene, the workers urgently started construction and troubleshooting.
Participating in troubleshooting the 110kV power pole at position 182, in Dong village, Gia Phu commune, Mr. Mui Duy Than, Head of the Mobile Operation Team, Phu Yen 110kV Transformer Station, shared: Although the weather is not favorable, we will try our best and are determined to complete the work as soon as possible to contribute to restoring electricity supply to serve production and daily life of people in the area.
According to Mr. Pham Tan Tien, Director of the High Voltage Power Enterprise, said: Depending on each electrical incident and actual conditions at the scene, we study appropriate solutions to complete in the fastest time. Particularly for the incident at the 110KV power pole in Dong village, Gia Phu commune, the Enterprise coordinated with the High Voltage Power Group - Phu Yen Power to arrange stone cages to hold the pole's foot, and reinforced the foundation. In 2 days, the incident was resolved.
In the increasingly severe climate change conditions, Son La Power Company continues to improve the system, minimize risks when natural disasters occur, as well as apply new technology and techniques to management, operations and business, with the goal of providing stable, continuous and safe electricity, contributing to promoting socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the area.
