In 2024, the Toc Tat village irrigation project will be completed and put into use. The project has an investment of nearly 3.8 billion VND from the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, bringing practical benefits, providing a stable water source for daily life and production for hundreds of households in the area.
Mr. Giang A Tho, Party cell secretary and head of Toc Tat village, shared: Since the investment in the construction of the irrigation works, the transportation of water for daily life and production to the fields has become much more convenient, and everyone in the village is happy. To effectively manage and operate the irrigation works, the village's grassroots irrigation team assigns a schedule to regulate production water to each household.
The Chieng Hoa commune cultural house project has also been completed and put into use in 2024. The project was invested in solid construction, over 200 m2 wide, with a total investment of nearly 2.5 billion VND from the capital source for implementing projects of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, always ready to serve the activities of the commune. Mr. Lo Van Toan, Chong village, Chieng Hoa commune, shared: The new cultural house helps our people have a place to meet and carry out economic and social development tasks. At the same time, this is also a place for cultural, artistic and sports exchanges, strengthening people's solidarity and contributing to the completion of new rural criteria and targets in the area.
In the period of 2021-2025, Chieng Hoa commune has effectively utilized capital from the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas. The commune has been invested over 83 billion VND to build and upgrade 26 rural traffic works, irrigation works, cultural houses and public houses, bringing practical benefits to the community. In particular, the commune has invested in important arterial roads, expanding the regional connectivity space between Muong La - Chieng Hoa - Bac Yen, along with local connecting roads such as Chieng Muon - Chieng An (old) and Chieng Hoa - Pac Nga.
Along with state capital, Chieng Hoa commune has mobilized diverse resources to develop infrastructure. Mr. Cu A Dang, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: In the period of 2021-2025, the whole commune mobilized more than 3.4 billion VND from socialized sources to repair 3 classrooms, a junior high school boarding house, a cultural house and an internal village road; together with the old Muong La district, it eliminated temporary houses for 211 poor households and policy families; installed 73 solar power poles from Ta village to Noong Xua village. Up to now, the commune has more than 132 km of concrete roads, 21/35 villages have cultural houses, many residential areas are lit by solar power, facilitating travel, contributing to maintaining security and order and promoting socio-economic development, completing new rural criteria.
Thanks to the State's investment and effective mobilization of resources, Chieng Hoa has gradually completed essential infrastructure, improved the lives of ethnic minorities and completed the new rural criteria. In the period of 2026 - 2030, the commune continues to prioritize upgrading transportation, irrigation and civil works, promoting comprehensive socio-economic development, striving to escape from the difficult commune category.
