Maybank Securities Company Limited explores investment opportunities in Da Nang

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that Da Nang city has an area of ​​nearly 12,000 ^km2 , a population of more than 3 million people; has 2 international airports and 3 international seaports.

Currently, Da Nang city has been chosen as the place to establish an international financial center, a free trade zone and is in the process of transforming and restructuring the economy towards services - industry - agriculture.

Some economic sectors that the city is paying special attention to building and developing are: seaports, aviation associated with logistics services; high-tech industry associated with building creative urban areas and startups; information technology, electronics, and telecommunications industry associated with digital economy; high-tech agricultural products and fisheries.

Many special mechanisms of the Central Government for Da Nang will be favorable conditions for the city to strengthen international cooperation, attract investment, trade, tourism, science and technology, and innovation.

Regarding the implementation of the International Financial Center in Da Nang, the city is focusing on implementing three basic contents, including mechanisms, policies, infrastructure and human resources.

Regarding the current mechanism and policy, the Central Government, ministries and sectors together with the city are actively implementing and perfecting it. The city has prepared land funds for infrastructure investment, both in the short term and long term.

At the same time, the city is coordinating with relevant units and partners to train human resources to meet the needs for the effective implementation of the International Financial Center in Da Nang.

Leaders of Maybank Securities Company Limited discussed and learned about the potential for developing commercial activities and policies to attract foreign capital in Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular; learned about investment opportunities in the International Financial Center, industrial parks and other typical economic projects of the city.

A representative of Maybank Securities Company Limited said that the company has 100% foreign capital and is allowed to provide securities services, including securities brokerage, online securities trading, research and analysis, corporate finance consulting and investment banking. The company's assets are over 200 billion USD, operating in 18 countries.
