What's interesting about the Folk and Bolero Performance Talent Search Contest?

On June 28 in Hanoi, the VIPTAM Institute of Technology Application (under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations) coordinated with relevant units to organize the announcement and launch of the Vietnam Folk and Bolero Talent Search Contest 2023.

The contest is expected to contribute to the preservation, maintenance and promotion of traditional cultural and artistic values ​​of Vietnam in the new era.

The Organizing Committee (OC) expects this to be an event of special significance, the first time in Vietnam that a competition has appeared on an unprecedented scale, with 12 genres of folk and Bolero music combining traditional and modern music nationwide.

The competition is organized online and live on stage, including 5 rounds: Preliminary Round, Challenge Round, Semi-final Round of music genres, Final Round of music genres, National Final Round.

The new point of the Vietnam Folk and Bolero Talent Search Contest 2023 is the combination of the Vdone digital platform application and the traditional stage during the competition organization process, creating a spread and interaction between contestants and the fan community directly through the technology platform during the competition.

Contestants will be evaluated and scored on a digital platform to ensure transparency and fairness for contestants. Contestants will also earn additional income from fan votes.

The contestant's score will include: Direct voting score on the Vdone app from the fan community, the judges' score, and the score of the expert panel and journalists.

The contest will be broadcast live on the Vdone platform via livestream technology, aiming to create digital data on this type of artistic music , at the same time digitizing the preservation and storage of digital data as well as providing solutions to preserve and develop traditional art; targeting the music-loving community across the country on the Vdone social network.

From there, create a music environment on a digital platform to help artisans, artists, singers, musicians... have the conditions to "shine".

The 12 Folk and Bolero music genres of the contest include: Northern Folk Songs, Quan Ho Folk Songs, Cheo Stage, Central Folk Songs, Nghe Tinh Vi Dam Folk Song Stage, Hue - Binh Tri Thien Folk Song Stage, Bai Choi Folk Song Stage, Central Highlands Folk Songs, Khmer Folk Song Stage, Southern Folk Songs, Cai Luong Stage Art, Bolero.
