Globally, nearly 6,000 Ford employees and their families in more than 30 countries participated in more than 180 volunteer projects, contributing hundreds of thousands of hours to support their communities. This year’s highlight is the Food Drive campaign, launched by Ford’s global dealer network on September 15, in collaboration with local organizations, food banks and partners to increase food security and invite the community to join in support.

In addition, Ford also expanded the Ford Volunteer Corps Hub to 11 new markets, creating more opportunities for Ford employees around the world to participate in volunteer activities, connect and contribute more effectively to society.

“Global Caring Month is a testament to Ford’s spirit of building together. It’s inspiring to see Ford volunteers work side by side with our partners each year, bringing real value to their communities. Giving back is at the core of Ford and how we help build strong, resilient communities for future generations,” said Mary Culler, President of Ford Philanthropy.

Together Building Sustainable Communities

Ford Vietnam's Global Care Month 2025 focuses on elements of building sustainable communities including education , enhancing disaster response capabilities, improving community infrastructure and raising safety awareness.

In August 2025, Ford Vietnam organized a volunteer activity at An Phuong Secondary School ( Hai Phong ). Nearly 60 employees directly participated in building new restrooms, repairing parking lots damaged by Typhoon Yagi, repainting classrooms, improving learning spaces, and donating bicycles and helmets to students in the school. The activity not only brought a new, safer and friendlier look to An Phuong teachers and students, but also spread the message of traffic safety and caring for future generations.

In Hanoi, Ford collaborated with social organizations to transform an abandoned land lot into the Phuc Tan – Bo Vo Community Space. The project includes many themed areas such as a playground, a physical training area, and a learning space about traffic safety, science, and the environment.

In Chieng Di (Son La), Ford is implementing a sustainable community development project with the following items: installing 60 solar-powered lampposts along the routes to schools, combined with road repair and maintenance. At the same time, Ford provides plant varieties and organizes sustainable agriculture training courses, helping people access effective farming models, increase productivity and improve income.

In Khau Pha (Yen Bai), Ford Vietnam implemented a project to control erosion and prevent flooding by planting vetiver grass and building a system of embankments along streams, protecting the farmland and homes of more than 80 households. At the same time, Ford supported the renovation of the community cultural house, turning it into a center for activities, organizing training and communication for the people. The project also promoted the homestay model associated with community tourism, opening up alternative sources of income and helping households maintain financial stability even in difficult times.

In addition, community-based disaster response and first aid training programs help people equip themselves with knowledge and skills to be more proactive in the face of climate change and natural disasters. First aid training programs for teachers, drivers and migrant workers were also implemented, with a total of more than 300 people trained, contributing to improving response capacity in emergency situations.

Along with key projects, Ford Vietnam encourages employee groups and the Board of Directors to directly participate in volunteer activities. In September, the Board of Directors of Ford Hai Duong Factory and social partners organized a trip to Ta Tau (Yen Bai), giving gifts and supporting many disadvantaged households.

Along with that, a series of projects to donate engines and gearboxes to Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry and the University of Industrial Technology were implemented to help students majoring in automobiles access modern technology, practice practical skills and prepare for the labor market.

“Global Caring Month has become a meaningful tradition for Ford around the world, demonstrating our strong commitment to spreading kindness and making positive contributions to society. These projects demonstrate Ford’s long-term sustainable commitment to the community and the desire to create a safer, more friendly and healthier environment for future generations,” said Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Tam, Deputy General Director of Ford Vietnam.

The Power of the Ford Ecosystem

Ford dealers in many countries simultaneously launched a food donation campaign from September 15 to 25. This is a joint effort to help address food shortages, which is a global challenge with the United Nations predicting that up to 733 million people will face hunger by 2024. In each locality, Ford dealers are partnering with food banks and social organizations to ensure that the support reaches those who need it most.

With the active participation of the dealer network, combined with a history of contributing more than 2.4 billion USD to charity activities and 1.8 million volunteer hours of employees over the past decades, Ford continues to affirm a new approach to corporate social responsibility. The Food Drive has become a clear demonstration of the spirit of "Building Together", contributing to improving the lives of local communities.

In Vietnam, Ford dealers nationwide and car owners' clubs also actively join this global campaign, making practical contributions to support disadvantaged households, thereby affirming the role of solidarity and deep social responsibility of the domestic dealer system.

In September 2025, more than 15 Ford dealers and car owner clubs organized warm clothes and food donations, and a Mid-Autumn Festival for children program for students in highland schools such as Cao Bang (Yen Bai), Pa Cop, Lung Xa Ta De (Son La) to help them study in peace in difficult conditions. This activity is also closely linked to the "Food Truck" campaign of the Ford dealer system, aiming to support food and share the burden with many disadvantaged families across the country.

With the spirit of “Building Together”, Ford Vietnam continues to connect the strength of the entire ecosystem from employees, dealers to partners and the community to create sustainable values. The projects in Global Care Month 2025 not only bring practical benefits but also contribute to building a sustainable community and long-term development in Vietnam.
