The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has just announced a list of 10 young scientists in the field of science and technology to receive the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award 2025.
Information technology, digital transformation and automation: 3 individuals; Medical and pharmaceutical technology: 2 individuals; Biotechnology: 1 individual; Environmental technology: 2 individuals; New materials technology: 2 individuals.
The 10 young scientists who won the Award all had outstanding achievements, many patents and useful solutions applied in practice; many high-quality scientific publications in prestigious international scientific journals, highly appreciated by experts and with high citation index; won many medals and awards at prestigious science and technology competitions at home and abroad.
This not only demonstrates the research capacity of young Vietnamese scientists, but also serves as a driving force for integration, contributing to elevating Vietnam's science and technology on the global science and technology map and concretizing the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, towards the goal of developing a green, smart and sustainable Vietnam in the new era.
Each individual winning the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award receives the “Creative Youth” Badge from the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, the Golden Globe Cup, a Certificate of Award and a cash prize of 20 million VND.
According to the Organizing Committee, in 2025, the number of applications for the Award will increase sharply, with good and consistent quality in achievement categories such as patents, utility solutions, many publications in prestigious international journals and conferences, and many practical application products.
Notably, 22/83 candidates have participated in the Award in previous years, 26 Vietnamese candidates are studying and working in countries with developed science and technology in the world. This affirms the attraction and prestige of the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award and the pursuit of long-term research goals of young Vietnamese scientists around the world.
The Golden Globe Science and Technology Award is awarded annually by the Central Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, with a maximum of 10 individuals each year who are young talents under 35 years old.
The award is given in 5 fields: Information technology, digital transformation and automation; Medical technology; Biotechnology; Environmental technology and New materials technology. In 2025, the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award will continue to be deployed and widely launched to 193 units.
After more than 2 months, the award standing unit has received 96 applications on the online registration system of the Award from 41 agencies, units, universities, research institutes, enterprises nationwide and the Vietnamese Embassy, the Association of Vietnamese Youth and Students abroad. The number of valid applications in 2025 is 83, an increase of nearly 34% (21 applications) compared to 2024 (62 applications).
The 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on October 29, 2025 in Hanoi./.
