Da Nang tourism is entering the low season in 2025 due to unfavorable weather conditions. The complicated political situation in many countries has caused the risk of a decline in international visitors and tourism spending; the number of domestic visitors has decreased due to the new school year and the end of the year. Traditional markets such as South Korea and Taiwan (China) show signs of saturation and shifting in the context of increasing competition for domestic and foreign destinations.

Da Nang City welcomes passengers on the Shenzhen (China) - Da Nang route, which was put into operation by China Southern Airlines on October 2, 2025.
In particular, focus on products and services that are less dependent on weather factors, including culinary tourism, cultural tourism, craft village tourism, eco-tourism and health care and healing tourism, considering these as product pillars to attract tourists in the low season.
Support traditional craft villages such as Thanh Ha pottery, Kim Bong carpentry, Hoi An lanterns, Non Nuoc stone carvings, etc. to develop in association with the community. Plan medicinal areas to expand medical tourism, health care tourism, and healing tourism to attract visitors and overcome weather limitations. Develop spiritual and cultural tourism, unique souvenir products, tourism associated with precious medicinal herbs, especially Ngoc Linh ginseng, etc.
Da Nang will also organize festivals and events associated with traditional and indigenous culture such as the international lantern festival; the "Welcoming Christmas - Welcoming New Year" festival on a large scale in many areas. Attract national and international cultural and sports events to organize in the area. Build a number of annual international festivals to contribute to affirming the position of "Asia's leading event and festival city". Develop and organize traditional festivals and unique craft village festivals.
At the same time, continue to implement and upgrade policies to attract MICE tourists and wedding tourists. This is a strategic direction to help the city maintain tourism capacity all year round. At the end of the year, units often organize MICE and weddings; combine with ministries, departments and branches to attract major conferences in the world to Da Nang.
The city and travel agencies, airlines, and hotels are cooperating to implement stimulus packages and upgrade special services for group guests, MICE guests, wedding guests, and famtrips at the end of the year, helping to increase the number of guests, extend the length of stay, and enhance the destination's image.
In particular, strengthen communication to promote the destination "New Da Nang - New Experience" associated with year-end tourism stimulus programs; connect and cooperate with digital platforms, online travel platforms (OTA); promote the development of international flights. Cooperate with OTAs and international tourism communication platforms to implement stimulus programs for key markets in the low season.
It is expected that from now until the end of 2025, we will continue to promote and connect two-way passenger exploitation businesses to support international airlines to open new routes. At the same time, we will expand connections to the Middle East, India, and China markets; maintain and increase the frequency of existing flights from Japan, Korea, and Dubai; and promote the opening of new routes to Australia and the US in the near future.
According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first 9 months of 2025, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the area is estimated at about 14.4 million, an increase of more than 22% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached over 5.8 million, an increase of 27.4%, domestic visitors reached nearly 8.6 million, an increase of 19%. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel services is estimated at nearly 41 trillion VND, an increase of more than 25% over the previous year.
