Attending the Congress were comrade Bui Van Tuat, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association; leaders of Tay Hoa Lu ward and 145 outstanding delegates representing more than 2,300 War Veterans Association members in the whole ward.
The Association of War Veterans of Tay Hoa Lu Ward was established on July 1, 2025 on the basis of merging the Association of War Veterans of 5 communes, wards and one branch. In the 2022 - 2025 term, despite many difficulties, the Association has promoted the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", successfully achieved the set goals, and actively contributed to the construction of Tay Hoa Lu Ward to become a "model heritage urban area" of the province.
With the motto "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation", the Association has focused on doing a good job of participating in building and protecting the Party and government, maintaining political stability from the grassroots. The whole ward currently has 776 members who are party members (accounting for 34%), 91 cadres and members elected to Party committees at all levels, of which 64 comrades are secretaries, deputy secretaries of party cells or heads of residential groups , affirming the core role of war veterans in the grassroots political system.
The movement “War veterans help each other to do business and sustainably reduce poverty” has achieved remarkable results. The Association currently has 3 cooperatives, 5 cooperative groups and 12 member-owned farms; outstanding loans of over 29 billion VND, helping 25 households escape poverty, the poverty rate has decreased to 0.4%. Charity activities are focused on, with over 1.47 billion VND in the Association fund and hundreds of millions of VND in support of building and repairing 39 houses for members in difficulty, demonstrating a profound spirit of “comradeship”.
The Association also actively cooperated with the Fatherland Front , sectors and organizations to participate in the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Building new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "War veterans participate in environmental protection". The whole ward contributed nearly 10,000 working days, donated nearly 3,000 m² of land, and supported more than 950 million VND to build welfare works. During the past term, 100% of the Association's organizations completed their tasks, of which 90% completed well and 20% completed excellently; over 98% of members achieved the title of "Exemplary War Veteran" .
In the 2025-2030 term, the Congress determined the general goal: continue to promote the nature and tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", build a strong and comprehensive Association; proactively and exemplaryly participate in building and protecting the Party and the government; actively participate in socio-economic development movements, contributing to building a civilized and prosperous Tay Hoa Lu ward. The main targets set include: 100% of members are steadfast and steadfast in politics and ideology; develop 98% or more of eligible members to join the Association; 100% of Association officials are trained and fostered according to decentralization; 100% of Association organizations complete their tasks every year, over 90% complete them well; no more poor member households; build an average Association fund of 650 thousand VND/member.
The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Inspection Committee, Head of Inspection Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Tay Hoa Lu Ward for the 8th term, term 2025-2030; announced the decision to appoint the list of personnel of the delegation to attend the 8th Congress of Delegates of the Association of War Veterans of the province, term 2025-2030.
