It is known that the fisherman's name is Le Van Dong, from Linh Dong ward, Khanh Hoa province, a worker on fishing boat QNg 90789 TS, in a state of high fever, fatigue, cough, white phlegm, sore throat and nausea.
According to the medical history, fisherman Dong had a high fever since October 6, 2025 but was not treated. When he was admitted to Truong Sa Island Infirmary at 06:15 on October 11, the patient was conscious, responsive, body temperature 39.5°C, pulse 95 beats/minute, blood pressure 149/90 mmHg, SpO₂ 98%. Test results showed electrolyte disturbance. If not treated promptly, the disease can develop into serious complications, affecting life.

Doctors and nurses at the Island Infirmary promptly performed emergency treatment, administered intravenous fluids, electrolyte replacement, antibiotics, antipyretics and anti-inflammatories, and performed paraclinical tests and chest X-rays. The initial diagnosis was that the patient had a viral fever, upper respiratory tract infection and electrolyte imbalance, with signs of pneumonia.
Thanks to timely emergency care and treatment, fisherman Le Van Dong's health is now more stable and he continues to be monitored and cared for at Truong Sa Island Infirmary.
