Investing 7 billion VND to repair essential infrastructure in the La Lay International Border Gate area

Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Ha Sy Dong has just signed a decision approving the technical economic report on investment in construction of maintenance and repair works for essential infrastructure at La Lay International Border Gate area.

Accordingly, the project has a scale of maintaining and repairing asphalt concrete road surfaces at locations with current damage; completing the concrete road surface of a section of more than 57 m long connecting the control house with the provincial traffic road; reinforcing the curb, repairing the drainage system from the control house area to Laos with a length of over 450 m. The project belongs to project group C, level IV with a total investment of 7 billion VND, implemented from 2024 - 2025.

It is known that recently, import and export activities of goods from Laos to Vietnam through La Lay International Border Gate have been quite busy. However, due to the incomplete infrastructure of the border gate area, traffic through here has encountered many difficulties.

Therefore, timely investment in maintenance and repair of essential infrastructure here to facilitate the service of passengers and means of transport circulating through the border gate, contributing to the completion of the central road system of La Lay International Border Gate connecting many key projects being built by the province in the delta, helping to form a dynamic economic development area in the West of Quang Tri .
