Urgent implementation of a series of power transmission projects

Currently, Hung Yen province is supplied with electricity from 1 500kV transformer station and 7 220kV stations with a total capacity of 5,250 MVA. In the area, there are 7 500kV lines (about 755 km long) and 22 220kV lines (about 647 km long), connecting to substations in the area, ensuring electricity supply for loads in industrial parks, people's lives and serving local economic development.

The power transmission grid in Hung Yen province is currently operating safely and reliably, contributing to ensuring stable power supply for the socio-economic development of the province and the region. However, to meet future power demand, EVNNPT is investing in many key projects.

Specifically, the 500kV Hai Phong - Thai Binh transmission line project: About 38.3 km long, passing through the communes of A Sao, Quynh Phu, Minh Tho, Quynh An, Nguyen Du, Than Khe (Hung Yen province), including 47 column foundation locations. Currently, the project is still facing many difficulties in site clearance and determining the route direction.

The Thai Binh 500kV Substation Project has a scale of building a new 500/220/35kV substation with 2 transformers with capacity of 3x200 MVA. The project includes 2 double-circuit 500kV lines about 1.4 km long and 220kV lines about 6 km long. The station is located in Than Khe commune; the line passes through Than Khe and Dien Ha communes. The project has completed the handover of the site to the construction contractor.

Bai Say 220kV Substation Project and Bai Say - Kim Dong Transmission Line: Scale of new construction of 220kV Substation with capacity of 2x250MVA, 110/35/22kV connection station with capacity of 63MVA, and 2-circuit 220kV transmission line about 10km long. The project passes through An Thi, Pham Ngu Lao, Xuan Truc, Nghia Dan communes. Currently, the project is in the stage of investment preparation and route agreement.

Hung Yen 1 500kV Substation Project and 500kV, 220kV connecting lines: The scale includes 2 500/220/35kV transformers (3x300MVA), and connecting lines longer than 24km. The station is expected to be built in Hoan Long commune; the line passes through Hoan Long, Van Giang, Nghia Tru, Phung Cong communes (Hung Yen) and Gia Lam, Long Bien (Hanoi). EVNNPT is currently selecting construction locations.

220kV Thai Binh - Thanh Nghi transmission line project: About 53 km long, double-circuit line from 220kV Thanh Nghi substation to 500kV Thai Binh substation, passing through Le Quy Don, Tien La, Long Hung, Hung Ha, Dien Ha communes. The project is in the investment preparation stage, completing documents according to the route plan agreed by the Provincial People's Committee to complete the investment policy documents to submit to the Department of Finance for review and appraisal.

Accompanying EVNNPT for the development goals of the province

At the meeting, EVNNPT General Director Pham Le Phu thanked the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and departments, branches and localities for accompanying and supporting the Corporation in the process of implementing power transmission projects in the area in recent times.

In order to ensure stable power supply, serve socio-economic development and ensure the safety of the national transmission grid passing through the province, especially the 500kV Hai Phong - Thai Binh transmission line project under the direction of the Prime Minister (expected to start construction on August 19), EVNNPT proposed that the People's Committee of Hung Yen province direct relevant departments, branches and sectors to provide specific and timely guidance on coordination between the People's Committees of communes and units such as the Land Fund Development Center, Regional Project Management Board, etc. to effectively implement compensation and site clearance work.

For projects in the investment phase, EVNNPT requests Hung Yen province to promptly appraise the route and approve the investment policy so that the Corporation can carry out the next steps.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches and localities discussed and proposed many solutions to overcome difficulties, especially in the work of BTGPMB.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Nguyen Le Huy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, affirmed: The power transmission projects in the area are all key projects that not only serve the electricity needs of Hung Yen province but also contribute to ensuring national energy security. In the past time, the province has held many meetings to resolve difficulties, identifying these as urgent priority projects.

The leaders of Hung Yen province highly appreciated the contributions of EVNNPT and its member units in the local socio-economic development. With the increasing speed of development and demand for electricity, and with the fact that Hung Yen is a locality with many industrial parks and industrial clusters, investing in power transmission projects is extremely necessary to ensure the socio-economic development of the province. Therefore, the proactive investment of EVNNPT helps Hung Yen province affirm to investors that "electricity is always one step ahead".

At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of Hung Yen People's Committee specifically reviewed each proposal of EVNNPT and the feedback from departments, branches and localities. The provincial leaders requested departments, branches and localities to continue to closely coordinate with investors, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and ensure the progress of the projects.

The leaders of Hung Yen province also requested EVNNPT to send staff to coordinate directly with the commune authorities to speed up the progress of counting and compensation. Immediately after the site is handed over, it is necessary to mobilize construction forces quickly to avoid new problems.

For projects in the investment preparation stage, it is necessary to provide complete documents for departments, branches and localities to appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

EVNNPT General Director Pham Le Phu pledged that EVNNPT will continue to direct its member units to closely coordinate with functional agencies, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, ensuring that power projects are implemented on schedule and in accordance with legal regulations.
