Access to clean water is one of the most essential needs in life, especially for people in remote, mountainous areas. Towards the poor, especially those affected by recent storms and floods, Petrolimex has donated 1,100 ECOZEN-25 water filters for free and coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province to give them to poor households who do not have access to clean water and need to use water filters. This is Petrolimex's heart to the people, helping people to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

Ceramic core water filters help remove bacteria and impurities to create clean water that meets the quality standards of the Ministry of Health . The device is compact, easy to install and does not use electricity, firewood, coal, etc., thereby limiting greenhouse gas emissions. Filtered water can be drunk directly without boiling, making it convenient for households to use.

The water filter donation program continues to aim to support people in accessing safe drinking water, protecting their health and preventing diseases. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the special milestone of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (1956-2026); affirming that it is the first Vietnamese enterprise to implement a large-scale water filter distribution program. This is a step to concretize the action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, towards the goal of carbon neutrality and Net Zero of the Group according to the direction of the Government.

Within the framework of the program, Petrolimex donated 500 million VND to the Scholarship Fund and 500 million VND to the Fund for the Poor to encourage students and share with the poor in Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen province.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of Petrolimex Luu Van Tuyen shared the difficulties and losses that the locality and people have had to endure in the past time, especially the essential need for clean water. The water filters are not a big gift compared to the damage caused by the flood, but they are part of Petrolimex's heart to support people to have conditions to use clean, safe water in daily life, contributing to protecting health and stabilizing life after natural disasters.

At the same time, the General Director of Petrolimex emphasized that, as one of the leading energy groups in Vietnam, Petrolimex always promotes the value of sustainable development, linking corporate interests with community interests. In addition to completing production and business tasks well, the Group always considers social responsibility as a core element in its long-term development strategy. Petrolimex not only provides green, clean, environmentally friendly products, but also regularly implements many practical social security programs towards people and the community, considering this as part of the Group's sustainable development mission.

In addition, the General Director believes that Petrolimex Hung Yen - a member unit of the Group will continue to promote its role as a bridge, closely coordinating with the local government and people, both ensuring a stable supply of gasoline and actively participating in social security activities and socio-economic development of the province.

On behalf of the leaders of Hung Yen province, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Chairman of Dong Hung Commune People's Council Phi Ngoc Thanh respectfully thanked the collective of Petrolimex staff and employees for their good deeds and social responsibility. He hoped that in the coming time, the Group would continue to pay attention and accompany the province in social security activities and community support.

The program affirms Petrolimex's pioneering position in climate and community activities by becoming the first Vietnamese enterprise to implement a large-scale water filtration equipment distribution program. With the spirit of "Mutual love and support", "Joining hands for the community", in the recent past, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group has donated 3,000 water filters to people in difficult circumstances due to natural disasters in Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang and Lai Chau provinces.
