EVNNPT donates to support people to overcome consequences of storms, floods and natural disasters

(Chinhphu.vn) - The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) has just held a ceremony to launch a donation program to support people in localities affected by storms, floods, natural disasters and to help the people of Cuba.

Attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Tung, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members; Mr. Pham Le Phu, General Director of EVNNPT; members of the Board of Members, Deputy General Directors, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Trade Union and leaders of specialized Departments and all employees of EVNNPT.

In recent times, due to the consecutive impacts of storm No. 10, storm No. 11 and post-storm circulation, many provinces and cities in the Central and Northern mountainous regions have suffered heavy damage. Natural disasters not only caused landslides and widespread flooding, but also damaged hundreds of houses, isolated many residential areas, destroyed infrastructure, seriously affecting people's lives and livelihoods.

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and at the same time promoting the good tradition of "mutual love" of the people, the General Director of EVNNPT and the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the Corporation called on all officers, employees and workers in the whole system to actively participate in support, each person contributing at least one day's salary to support people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

At the launching ceremony, EVNNPT leaders emphasized: "This is not only an act of material sharing, but also a clear expression of the spirit of mutual love and social responsibility that has become a core value, fostered in EVNNPT culture and EVN culture".

With a workforce of nearly 7,000 officers and employees who always uphold the spirit of discipline, dedication and responsibility, EVNNPT not only successfully completes the task of safe, continuous and stable power transmission, but also actively accompanies community activities.

The leaders of the Corporation and the EVNNPT Trade Union expressed their belief that, with the spirit of solidarity and humanity, the EVNNPT collective will continue to promote tradition, overcome difficulties, successfully complete the 2025 plan, and at the same time actively contribute to the socio -economic development of the country, associated with the goal of community service and social security.
