Special art night closes Hue International Festival Week 2024

On the evening of June 12, at Kien Trung Palace ( Hue Imperial City), the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province held the closing ceremony of the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, concluding a series of unique and exciting cultural and artistic events in the area.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, said that with the theme "Cultural heritage, integration and development", the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 has gathered the quintessence of more than 30 art units from regions of Vietnam and 7 countries around the world .

With their passion and dedication to serving the public, combined with their acting talents, the artists and actors brought the audience dozens of art performances and response activities, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere. The convergence of cultures at the Hue International Festival Week 2024 with the unique features of each country placed in a relationship of exchange, solidarity, integration and development, has brought new vitality to the ancient capital of Hue, affirming its position as a typical Festival city of Vietnam, a unique cultural and tourism center of the country and the region.

At the closing ceremony, the art program with the theme "Returning to Hue Festival" including 3 parts: Hue harmony, Returning to Hue, Returning to Hue Festival brought to the audience traditional and modern dances and melodies of domestic and foreign artists. Officially closing the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 with a series of unique cultural and artistic events, leaving many impressions on visitors.

Taking place from June 7-12, Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 has 12 main activities and programs including: Opening program; opening art program; "Cultural Colors" street festival; performances by domestic and international art troupes; Royal Banquet; music program "Trinh Cong Son Dialogue - Love Found"; Light Festival; Beer Festival; Lantern Festival and Vegetarian Food Festival; "Tam Giang Waves" Festival; art program "Returning to Hue Festival".

In addition, the Week also has accompanying activities, response, socialization programs and many other community cultural activities.

Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 left many impressions on visitors.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, from June 7 to 12, the total number of visitors to the locality is estimated at 101,000, revenue from tourism services is estimated at 159 billion VND. The number of guests staying is estimated at 49,000 (including nearly 9,310 international guests), the average hotel room occupancy rate is 70%. On June 7, 8, 11 and 12, many hotels in the center of Hue city reached 80-90% occupancy.
