Samsung's One UI 8.5 update promises to bring a series of improvements in performance, user interface as well as smart features, especially deeper compatibility with the Galaxy ecosystem and artificial intelligence developed by Samsung.
After two major software updates that have been almost flawlessly reviewed, Samsung seems to have no intention of stopping yet. According to recent reports, the Korean tech giant is quietly developing One UI 8.5 – the next interface update that is expected to bring many significant improvements in performance, design and deeper AI integration in the Galaxy ecosystem.

One UI 8.5 is likely to be officially launched in early 2026, coinciding with the announcement of the Galaxy S26 series. Soon after, Samsung will roll out this update to a series of other Galaxy devices, including phones and tablets launched in the past few years.
Although the full list of devices has not been announced, according to insiders, high-end devices such as the Galaxy S, Z series and some newly launched Galaxy A and Tab models will be in the first wave of updates.
