Before the final races on the evening of May 21, heavy rains caused the National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand to be submerged in a blanket of water. However, the races were still fierce and intense.

Le Thi Cam Tu’s slight weakness in the third leg allowed the host Thai athlete to take second place at the baton handover. Therefore, despite Phung Thi Hue’s strong acceleration in the final leg, the Vietnamese team could only finish third, with a time of 45.17 seconds, behind China (44.16 seconds) and Thailand (44.88 seconds).
